2. Cabinet Sizes and Specifications Required

Lets us know the Cabinet Sizes and Specifications as per yours present space, so we can plan your dream cabinet project.

What are kitchen cabinet dimensions?

Start by taking measurements of the space available in the kitchen and where you intend to install the kitchen cabinets.
Keep in mind kitchen cabinets come in a wide variety of materials. Always go for a durable material so that you can enjoy the kitchen cabinets in your home for years to come. There is no doubt, a durable cabinet saves you money in the long run.

When running your cabinets full height (i.e. to the ceiling) leave a 4" tall gap from the top of the cabinets to the ceiling. Use a 4" tall crown molding to cover the gap. Why? Ceilings are rarely level. If you leave too small of a gap, it will draw your eye to the imperfection/contrast from a perfectly level cabinet to an imperfect ceiling. The 4" tall crown is tall enough that you will not notice the difference even on longer cabinet runs. The gap also allows for extra wiggle room on the elevation of the cabinets.

Millwork, like base shoe and scribe moldings, are worth their weight in gold! Scribe and shoe are what professional installers use to ensure a perfect installation and cover any gaps that may occur between perfect cabinets and the imperfect walls/floors of the project. These moldings are small and flexible and are able to bend to the contour of imperfect surfaces creating a nice look. 95% of high end kitchens use millwork like this to add depth and beauty to any project.

3. Appliance Measurements

Lets us know the Appliance Sizes and Specifications as your present space, so we can plan your dream cabinet project.

What Are Kitchen Appliance Dimensions?

Refrigerator: Standard size dimensions for a freestanding bottom freezer are 30 inches wide and 66 or 67 inches high, not including the door and handle. Standard dimensions for a freestanding top freezer are 28 inches wide and 61.5 inches high, excluding the door and handle.

Range: Can be freestanding or attached to an oven. Standard measurements for a stove are 48 inches tall, 24 inches wide and about 36 inches deep. Wood burning stoves are typically smaller, measuring about 29 inches tall, 16 inches wide and 26 inches deep.

Cooktop: The most common stove width is 30 inches, and most stoves are 36 inches high so they are flush with the standard kitchen counter height. The standard stove depth is 25 inches, but oven door handles often add a few inches

Wall Oven: Wall ovens come in standard widths of 24, 27 and 30 inches, but models can vary by as much as an inch or two, making it wise to stick with the same brand. Single Versus Double. Because a wall oven is smaller than a range oven roughly 3.5 cubic feet as opposed to 5 having an extra oven can overcome that limitation.

Hood: Even Hood has its own measurements, ranging from under cabinet and vent hood range hoods to wall mount and island range hoods, it should have thirty inches from the cooking surface to the base of the hood will provide enough space for the hood to evacuate the steam, smoke and grease.

Microwave: Can sit on top of a counter or be built into the cabinetry. Some microwaves are also convection ovens and are placed above the stove. Microwave standard measurements are approximately 19 inches wide by 10.5 inches high.

Dishwasher: Can be freestanding or integrated into a counter. They are typically located near or next to the kitchen sink. Standard measurements for a dishwasher are 24 inches wide and 35 inches high.

Bar Fridge: The smallest cube-shaped mini fridge measures 17 inches wide, 18 7/8 inches deep and 20 1/2 inches tall. A larger 4.5 cubic foot model with a separate freezer measures around 19 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 43 inches tall.

Compactor: Can range in width from 12 to 15 inches, in height from 34 1/8 to 35 inches and in depth from 24 to 24 inches.
